The Positive Steps course is a free 9 week self-esteem course for women. The slogan for the course which was compiled by the NHS Hillingdon Primary Care Trust is 'Feel good about who you are... you owe it to yourself!'.

So often women as Mums, sisters, grand-parents are doing so much for everyone else in their life that they forget to look after themselves. Actually in looking after our own self-esteem and confidence we can then support the people that we love in our life even more. 

 

The Positive Steps course helps you aim to:

  • Learn to take care of yourself and your own needs in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere
  • Give women the opportunity to learn more about themselves and feel confident in making decisions
  • Gain a more positive self image by raising self-esteem and confidence

 

Each session is 2 hours long and the 9 sessions work through the following topics: 

1. Introductory 2. Defining self-esteem 3. Looking after yourself 4. Past and Present experiences 5. Understanding yourself 6. Coping Strategies 7. Communication 8. Making decisions and taking risks 9. Positively Me!
